There has been a main samaya issue within the tradition for a long time, it is difficult to track a teacher with a “clean record” concerning the sectarian violence that has happened in the past. Teachings is ok, as long the gelug teacher does not actively practices or endorses ideas against HH. the Dalai Lama.
